As a kid, I waited for two things to show up in the mail every month: my new Nintendo Power (god rest its soul) and the next issue of Valiant's Super Mario Bros. comic. As a youngster I loved the comic but I knew that the art wasn't great and that King Koopa was not Bowser. For those reasons I always wanted to remake an issue so I chose this one. I've updated the art and the bits of story to match the real Mario universe.

It's just a fun fanart project and I hope you enjoy it. I plan to release one page every week.
